The Bedol Digital Clock is like no other clock you’ll have seen before because this one runs on salt and water.

How it manages to work is down to the salt which allows the electrodes within the clock to harvest energy from the water.

It’s a really clever concept and you might think that this innovation would make it a pricey clock but it’s not. It’s available for $16 at Bedol. Sadly I can’t see any information about international shipping so it might be a while before us Brits can get hold of one.
