I know the Flip video camcorder has been out for a few days now but I really couldn’t get started with this blog without writing what I think about it.

In my opinion the Flip video camcorder is the start of something special. It’s what is going to turn websites like this one here from being a text based site into something far more exciting and engaging.

It’s going to bring video to the masses. It’s going to make video something that not just the BBC, SKY and film students can do. It’s going to be something we can all do.

Why am I so confident about this?

Well because of the simplicity of the Flip video camcorder.

The Flip video camcorder is an amazing piece of gadgetry for so many reasons.

Let’s start with the most important element of it.

Recording video.

With the Flip video camcorder this is easy. Really easy.

All you do is hit the big red button to start and the big button red button to stop.

In fact it’s so easy a little known woman called Oprah found she could use it…

What about editing. Sure that gets difficult.

Amazingly no. Getting video from the Flip video camcorder to the PC is easy. All you do is flip the USB stick out at the side and plug it in.

Once it’s in it’s just like any other external storage device so you can get editing with it straight away with the Flip software or the video editing software of your choice.

Having read this post I’d thought the answer would be obvious.
