Grass wasn’t just being played on this year it was also being used for art by Heather Ackroyd and Dan Harvey.

These two artists photographed three people before the event:

• Tara Moore - competitor
• Eddie Seaward - groundsman
• Lizzie May - Wimbledon Junior Tennis coach

and then protected these images onto grass seeded panels as negatives.

The result was the areas that got more light went darker creating a photorealistic image.

Normally this wouldn’t be my kind of design and I’m not saying that I’d ever purchase any such art (if indeed that’s possible as this does have a finite lifespan) but I’m really impressed by what Heather and Dan have done.

It shows just a little bit of thinking outside of the box can create something very nature and very precise at the same time.
